iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air have problems with Wi-Fi performance

The first owners of the new iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air are already complaining about an unpleasant defect – smartphones periodically lose Wi-Fi connection. The problem seems to affect the entire new lineup.

MacRumors, Reddit, and Apple’s official support forums have seen hundreds of posts from users who are experiencing momentary drops in connectivity. Most often it happens when the device is locked. In addition to everyday use, the bug creates difficulties with the work of CarPlay, which actively uses Wi-Fi.

It is known that all iPhone 17 models are equipped with Apple’s new proprietary N1 chip. It is responsible for supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread standards. Experts suggest that the malfunction may be associated with this component. Whether it is a manufacturing defect is still unclear.

The extent of the problem remains unknown: not all users were able to reproduce the bug. There are no official comments from Apple yet, but usually such bugs are fixed through iOS updates.

Thus, the new iPhones have not started without problems, and owners have to wait for a quick response from the company.
